Frontier Danceland’s mid-year production, SIDES 2019 returns with a double-bill featuring new work by renowned choreographers Shahar Binyamini (Israel) and Eduard Hue (France) of Beaver Dam Company in Switzerland, created for and performed by Frontier Danceland company artists.
This is Shahar’s third collaboration as choreographer-in-residence with Frontier Danceland. His piece, entitled Wet Ostrich explores a wide array of emotions from euphoria to despair, as the dancers mimicked the beautiful movements of the large, flightless birds when caught in the rain.
Edouard joins Shahar as he remounts his work, Into Outside for its Asian premiere in Singapore. From Into Outside, the audience witnesses the importance of the individual to society and the power of society to change it.
Here are some highlights taken at the SIDES 2019 preview.
