A personal history by Raymond Nakamura
My Baachan and her family took the train to the Slocan area to live in a shack in the relocation camp called Popoff, after the family who owned the farm land. It was a troop train with hard wooden benches to sit on. This area, with a river and green mountains, is quite beautiful, if you actually have the choice to go.
